Loewe is a Spanish luxury fashion house based in Madrid and is currently owned by LVMH group. Loewe began as a cooperative of leather artisans in the center of Madrid in 1846. German entrepreneur Enrique Loewe consolidated the workshop under his name in 1872, creating one of the world’s original luxury houses. Over the next century, Loewe would evolve and expand to become a household name with an extravagant reputation. The House, when acquired by luxury group LVMH in 1996, brought fashion into the core of the brand.
From 2007 till 2009, Gedeon & Co. has acted in an advisory role to some retailers who wanted to sell Loewe products in their stores.
